fellerband is an indie folk rock band from Germany. They achieve that rare combination of intelligent lyrics and music that is rich with neither overpowering the other. The songs are positive and upbeat with both Folk themes and Rock riffs. Their is a lot of diversity on this album. "Stop Deceiving My Heart" is a classic rock song. "Behind Your Shadow" is a love song. "Geronimo’s Children" and "The Battle of Gallow Hill" both have the consciousness raising aspects of the best folk songs. "Night of the Caravan" is as catchy as a pop song but with more substance than most pop songs have. "A Seducer Called Love" is moody and atmospheric. It’s possibly my favorite but there is definitely something for everyone on this wonderful album. fellerband is a band you will be hearing a lot more of. Übersetzung einer Email von Paul Baker (Moderator der Radiosendung „Soundscapes“ im britischen Radiosender Arfm radiostation UK) zu unserer neuen CD „In spite of all the dark clouds“: Wie versprochen nun eine kurze Mitteilung an Euch, um Euch wissen zu lassen, dass die CDs sicher und unbeschädigt angekommen sind. Ich höre sie gerade, während ich hier diese Email tippe ... Ich liebe diese Musik. Es ist eigentlich nicht mein Musikgeschmack, aber ich erkenne Elemente von Bands wie The Strawbs, Gerry Rafferty, FOS Brothers, Fairport Convention und Ralph McTell. Es ist wirklich erfrischende, offene und erhebende Musik mit einer Schönheit und einer trügerischen Einfachheit. Alles eingespielt von großartigen Musikern, mit einer wirklichen Leidenschaft und mit Freude an der Musik. Wundervoll. Es tut mir leid, dass ich Ende November nicht da bin, um mich mit den Jungs zu unterhalten, aber ich werde Lieder von beiden Alben am kommenden Sonntag (20.11.2011, 15 Uhr UK-Zeit) in meiner Show vorstellen.
